Privacy Policy

Velocity Broadband Internet (Velocity) protects the privacy of our clients, customers, and visitors. Velocity gathers information both passively and actively, but DOES NOT sell or share any received information to third party companies with the exception of our technical support team who can acess only client information required to assist with technical questions.
At the time of a service purchase, Velocity will require personal information from the customer, including name, mailing address, service address (if different from mailing address), date of birth, social security information, credit card information, email address, and additional information needed for billing purposes. Velocity does generate GPS coordinates for our Fixed Wireless customers only. All information is secured within software databases with controlled limited access.
Basic customer information may be used to file FCC mandatory reports, which include census tract and block data determined by address, subscribed speeds, and if a resident or business.
Velocity reserves the right to use personal information to resolve billing issues, including Collections, and service issues. Velocity will send connectivity customers marketing materials about new service opportunities, including increased speed. Materials may be in the form of both email and mailers. Customers will have the ability to opt-out of one or both marketing avenues. Velocity will also announce potential and scheduled outages along with service issues that are not limited to any one particular customer. Velocity does not knowingly collect, solicit or use personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If a customer is under age 18, please do not attempt to register for services or send any personal information to Velocity. If Velocity learns that personal information has been gathered from a child under the age of 18, Velocity will delete that information as quickly as possible to the extent technically feasible. If a customer believes that his/her child under age 18 may have provided Velocity with personal information, please contact Velocity at privacy@vbimena.com. Additionally, Velocity will not troubleshoot connectivity issues or discuss information about the customer’s account with anyone under the age of 18.
When a customer uses Velocity’s connectivity, any information a customer sends and receives is transmitted over a fixed wireless network and may be subject to interception by unauthorized third parties who seek to harm. While it is Velocity’s objective to take reasonable measures to reduce the risk that unauthorized third parties will be able to intercept the information a customer sends and receives through the service, Velocity cannot and does not make any guarantee that transmissions over the Internet are 100% secure or error-free.
Velocity recommends that customers use caution when sending any information over the Internet and use encryption technology whenever possible, such as websites that have the “https” designation in the website’s address bar and that show a padlock incon in the browser’s window.
Velocity does not collect any information about customer activity on the Internet. All customers are subject to Velocity’s Terms of Use.
